It would be a good idea to specify which version(s) of Oracle you want to
do this on (and whether the tables are (composite) partitioned) ; it's
possible that the correct answer for a newer version of Oracle is wrong for
an older version. I have a few notes about ridiculous problems with the
shrink space command for LOBs (on "very old" versions) so I'd test every
time I needed to try it on a newer version.
