Nope - it's "cloud native" and stores data VERY differently than Oracle. You should be able to find some descriptions in their documentation.

Hello List,

Always eager to add another data management system to my resume, attended a Snowflake webinar today and noticed familiar DDL i.e 'alter' and 'like%'. So the question, does anyone know if Snowflake is built on top of Oracle?
