I can't recall what James called them. FWIW, I try to use Industry Standard practices or Common Practices. Usually, that's enough to communicate the idea that Mark expresses, that these should be seen as a starting point or a default that is unlikely to hurt you. I also have a soft spot for Tom Kytes "Never say never, Never say always. That's what I always say".
