G’Day all,
Has anyone upgrade to the latest ZDLRA?
[root_at_zdlradbadm02 oracle]# rpm --query ra_automation ra_automation-19.2.1.1.2.202105-RELEASE.x86_64
Oracle Platinum Patching patched our system on Jul 27th and now our RA is broken!
Inc level 1 forever are no longer merged with into virtual level 0s, or Virtual Backups (VB). The RA reported "ORA-64830: Incremental backup for database x is not up-to-date.” for ALL protected dbs.
Restore of datafile hangs because it can’t find the VB to restore.
Restore of archivelogs and other items are fine because they don’t get merged into a VB.
Removal of a protected db just marks it with a cross but doesn’t remove it at all.
I’ve also taken a new Level 0 and subsequent level 1s are not merged into VB. I just have level 1 and level 1s! This is not good as we’ll run out of RA space to backup our databases and defeats the whole purpose of an incremental forever that we paid for in the RA!!
Yes, a sev 1 escalated SR and bug is logged but so far no joy. A whole lot of diagnostics, traces, radumps have been given to Oracle and no signs of what they are doing with it all!!
Anybody having any luck out there?
Thanks,
Leng.--
