Also, there is another competitor in the race called "chef", which I have also encountered in the field. Chef is a more of a commercial product than Puppet or Ansible. Here is an article, admittedly not a very good one, which explains some of the differences between those products:

I like Ansible because it doesn't require any agents. The configuration files are JSON and Ansible is wildly popular. There are many YT training clips which will get you started in no time at all.
