I, for one, am glad that Oracle is moving to the Lone Star State. Oracle support will now be only a single time zone away, instead of 3 time zones. That will help with support response times. However, I am perplexed by my Oracle stock falling a bit after that announcement. Oracle already has a campus in Austin, TX, the real estate expenses will not be that great. The differences in taxes for a single year should be enough to cover the expense of the move. And thanks to Covid, people from CA don't have to move. I am quite certain that Oracle has VPN. Goldman Sachs moving from NYC is much bigger shock than Oracle, HP and Tesla moving to TX. Goldman Sachs is the merciful ruler of NYSE and the world, long time synonymous with Wall Street. Moving out of the Big Apple is a real shocker.
