Thanks, all. As Ian mentioned, it is a third party application that really needs win32_12.2.0.1 version of the client to be installed.

I have tried to run the setup.exe on 3 different machines with Window 10 Enterprise and the same thing happens. It crashes as soon as the setup.exe is run.

Hi Ian,

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head, is did you check that Windows is fully up to date? Always go to 'Settings->Updates & Security->Check for Updates' to ensure that Windwos 10 is fully up to date before attempting any type of software install.

As to MOS,if you go to "Service Requests->Create Technical SR'" then enter your problem description, then below that, for "Product" enter "Oracle Database Enterprise Editition" or "Oracle Database Standard Edition", and the appropriate version number. Then, the Platform, and, finally ,in the "Problem type", do "Database Install, Upgrade,& Downgrade, Patching (Single Instance only)" and under that, "Binaries Installation (Server/Client) including cloning".

Hope that helps,

-Mark

The install is crashing immediately. The only thing we can find in regard to this problem is to make sure the install is done as an administrator. This is how the install is being done. My colleague has been successful installing on prior Windows versions.

The crash happens before any files are written. This particular client is necessary to support a third party application per the vendor.

I also couldn't figure out how to open an SR on a client. Nothing Ityped into the product filtering box worked.

Has anyone been able to install this particular client on Windows 10. How did you get around the error
