Re: Strange developer ideas

I once had a Logical Standby replication. It was awful. I frequently had issue with it falling behind and getting errors during apply. It also doesn't support every datatype so you"ll have to check on that. You are correct that Golden Gate is the way to go, you'll spend less time managing the so called "Standby" site.
