Hi,
We're planning to upgrade our cluster from 11.2.0.4 to some later release. This includes clusterware, RAC, and the database software. Because of the application restrictions, we need to upgrade the databases software to 12.2.0.
As for the clusterware, RAC, I would like to upgrade to 19c. It's supported in our environment, but I wanted to get some feedback on this.
The OS platform is Oracle Linux, and it's a 2-node cluster.
Has anyone had issues running 19c clusterware, RAC with 11.2.0.4, 12.2 databases ?
Would you recommend using flex ASM clusters ? Is it worth doing with a 2 node cluster ?
I know that 18, 19, are later releases of 12, so it wouldn't seem to be an issue to upgrade the database to those versions. Is that a reasonable assumption?
Thanks for your help.
I appreciate your time, and input
Ed Lewis
