Hey Jack,
you can map it to v$sqlcommand and check what kind of commands are referred to. For example VERSION2 is "PL/SQL EXECUTE", "SELECT", "UPDATE", "INSERT", etc.
However I am just guessing/interpreting the naming right now but VERSION2 might be related to "SQL*Net version 2" OPI.
