I am a little confused, the Oracle support guidelines mention 12.2 is supported until March 2023, but there is a footnote:

I am a little confused, the Oracle support guidelines mention 12.2 is supported until March 2023, but there is a footnote:
*The 18c and 19c releases follow the Lifetime Support timeframes for 12.2. Versioning has been modified so that 18c replaces 12.2.0.2 and 19c replaces 12.2.0.3.
So
12.2 is 12.2.0.1
18c is 12.2.0.2
19c is 12.2.0.3
Does tha mean 12.2.0.1 is supported until March 2023, or that as time goes by 12.2.0.n will be supported until 2023 but people are expected to update their releases as the 4th digit releases become available.
I expect Oracle would prefer it if people stayed up-to-date with the 4th digit updates, not just go to 12.2.0.1 and declare everything is fine.
What are you doing at your shop?
