Hello All,

I am sure others have experienced this issue.

I have a fully patched 12.1.0.2 install running on Windows. The database and listener services start everything on boot.

Unfortunately after the last OS patch the TNS_ADMIN variable got set pointing at the client side configuration files. There is no listener.ora in the client config files.

lsnrctl status shows that the local listener.ora is being used:

Listener Parameter File E:\Oracle\product\12.1.0.2\network\admin\listener.ora

However, the sqlnet.ora file is being read from the TNS_ADMIN directory.

We now understand how and why it is working but it caused a bunch of difficulties for a while. For the future:

Is there an easy way to see the entire configuration file tree in lsnrctl? Is there an easy way to see the entire current configuration of the listener in lsnrctl?

I know it is probably in ADR somewhere but I am hoping for a simpler way

TIA
Dave
