I wonder why do you think so? If you look at the problem carefully you'll find that there is no problem with separators. Anyway, I use / only, because it allows my scripts to work on any platform (for example: https://github.com/xtender/xt_scripts/blob/master/xplan.sql )

I successfully work on any platform and do not like holy wars and flaming. My screenshots from windows:

Unfortunately I have no time to finish my own terminal for that, so I use SQL Developer for that on Linux.
