I have two standard references that i use a lot for Oracle RAC. They also include a lot of setup best practices and hints: 1) Pro Oracle Database 11g RAC on Linux by Steve Shaw & Martin Bach: http://www.apress.com/9781430229582 2) Expert Oracle RAC 12c by Syed Jaffar Hussain, Tariq Farooq, Riyaj Shamsudeen & Kai Yu: http://www.apress.com/9781430250449

I would start with "Pro Oracle Database 11g RAC" as it includes a lot of (setup) basics, if you are not using any fancy Oracle 12c RAC stuff (e.g. Flex ASM, etc.) at first.
