There is just one single line about udev which goes :
“You can also set udev rules, in addition to or instead of Oracle ASMFD and Oracle ASMLIB, for device persistence.”

And now we could add AFD to the list :-)

So, I have managed to get OEL 7 installed, but now for an additional complication I have decided to teach myself something about udev rules instead of using ASMLIB. I know it is a bit of religious war betwen udev and asmlib, but anyway, here is my line from 99-oracle-asmdevices.rules:
KERNEL=="sd?1", BUS=="scsi", PROGRAM=="/sbin/scsi_id -g -u -d /dev/$parent", RESULT=="14f504e46494c45524856447a376e2d7871364a2d654b4272", NAME="asm-disk1", OWNER="oracle", GROUP="dba", MODE="0660"
The error message out of 'udevadm test /block/sdb/sdb1'
is 'unknown key 'BUS' in /etc/udev/rules.d/99-oracle-asmdevices.rules:1 invalid rule '/etc/udev/rules.d/99-oracle-asmdevices.rules:1'
Any ideas from the linux gurus?
