Very good points. For example, I use the OEM/EM interface almost exclusively to handle the database scheduler. The DBMS_SCHEDULER package is so unwieldy from the command line I shiver at the thought of having to face it that way! SQLDeveloper is a reasonable alternative nowadays, but that's about it.

I must admit I have not given the EMCLI much time. Thanks, definitely in my to-do list from now on.
