I can sort of see the sense in that....
Nobody would be on support untill there is an issue, quickly pay and resolve the issue, cancel support again.
But when the OP bought the BI the license and support issue should have come up in the whole deal/conversation. before they had your signature on the BI stuff I'm sure negotiating would have been easier.
