A terabyte of business-critical data and they won't spring for the
partitioning option? Something is seriously wrong here. Maybe you can use
this issue to justify the purchase.


    Your best option may be to write a program that purges the data a few
rows at a time and commits every few rows. Just let it run for months as
needed.
