What version?
What OS?
What configuration, ie RAC, shared server, etc?

What are the values of the parameters:
p1 is the name or mode, p2 should be the object number

K Gopalakrishnan is correct; I believe SQ is a lock to ensure that only one process can replenish the sequence cache at a time.

I saw the blurb in the reference guide. This is a test box. No one else is on it. No sequences in any of the test code.

any more detailed docs?

SQ is related to sequences. Are you using ORDERed sequences on RAC?
