Not sure if this is the same, although the way you get the error is. But I was getting date format errors, time_zone undefined, when doing the same select. Adding :

ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE =3D '-04:00'; To login.sql fixed the problem. EST is GMT-4.=20

we have links between 9.2.0.4 and 8.1.7.4 databases that are working fine. if, however we go to 9.2.0.5 we can select accross the link but on a commit we get a contex incorrect error.

anybody seen this before? know a workarround?
