How to remove listener password?

Hi:

Very simple question.

I don' have listenr.ora file under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin dir. But when I try to check the status (or any listenr command ) results in LSNRCTL> status
Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(PORT=1521)) TNS-01169: The listener has not recognized the password

The person who set the listener password on dev machine has left. Now I want to get rid of the listener password?
