Thanks, just a quick note - if using the time command to advance the clock artificially by a bit over 3 hours to 23:55 - try to make sure you don't spend 6 minutes checking that the mail reads correctly and generally faffing about - otherwise the reset of the time is inconveniently on the wrong day :(

to use on 9i you'd need to explicitly enable table monitoring - on 10g STATISTICS_LEVEL needs to be TYPICAL (which it probably will be).
