   I am no expert in this field, but since nobody else has replied, I'll offer a few ideas for your consideration:

• I would recommend studying the "right" way to do everything. Many of the formal procedures and processes that have been developed came from experiences in the situation you describe.
• Software release procedures. Study ITIL (www.itil.co.uk) This will help get your software release management procedures down.
• For procedures for replication, I would recommend Marie Buretta's book Data Replication. She makes the point that you need to have procedures to straighten out replication problems. If the data can be updated at any location, then it gets very difficult to figure out which site has the good data.
• As you design your software, add as many detailed audit trails as you can. A good audit trail can help diagnose a lot of complex problems. Just accept that you will have problems.
• Design procedures for roll-out of new versions of your software worldwide. Put a version number in your software so it can automatically detect whether it is talking to a newer version.

We are in the Design Stage of a Multi Geography Architecture (across different continents) deploying a Host of Banking ApplicationS & respective DatabaseS with Data Transfers occurring between them.

Applications are Core Banking, Internet Banking, CRM, ATM Interfaces, POS, DW etc

What SOFTWARE SUPPORT Issues post implementation may occur on such a Production Site?

Any Links, Papers, Books would help
