ya know. since nothing gets run in the database itself should be able =
to keep that closed/clone or just install/copy the old binaries back and =
be good to go. =20
didn't have the time to do that either - but have weeks to resolve this = environment which is why I choose it.

You too huh? Good thing I put in in a development environment. BTW, =
=3D
this LD_LIBRARY_PATHING has bit me in the ##$$ - bottom-line - would =3D
like "true" 64-bit oracle binaries/libraries!

List - If you must install the new Oracle Security Patch on one of your
servers this weekend, be aware that opatch relinks your oracle binary. =
=3D
Years
ago it was considered a good practice to relink oracle when you =3D
installed
it, but some of us have gotten lazy since Oracle provides binaries =3D
already
linked today. In my case, I have 64-bit Oracle on Solaris, but my
LD_LIBRARY_PATH was pointing to some 32-bit directories. Enough said, =
=3D
just
hope this tip helps somebody get home faster this weekend. Also, =3D
Metalink
says the Florida support center is evacuated so don't file any TARs that
aren't severity 1.
