Guys,

I have recently migrated several databases from 8i to 9i. I am = interested in "trying" dynamic SGA memory management, workarea_policies = and pga_aggregate_target. What is the best way to "benchmark" = performance before and after to determine the impact on my systems? = What if I have limited access to users for the database I support and it = is a COTS package with limited communication from developers? I love to = have input and involvement from users and developers but that isn't = always politically possible. So how can I best monitor/benchmark = independently?

10046 traces???
Oracle's built-in advisors??
Queries against the v$ views?
statspack?? - which I understand is not preferred as it isn't quite = reliable.
