Roger
Sorry, things are in a panic here, not much time to research. I think somewhere I saw a formula suggesting your temp tablespace next extent be a multiple of SORT_AREA_SIZE. I haven't conducted any tests, but maybe somebody on this list has.
As far as splitting the tempfiles, if you have additional storage devices to spread them over, that would be great. Otherwise I doubt if there is much benefit.
The best idea is to look at your application and see the pattern of sorts. See if you can do more sorts in memory and less on disk. And try to put your temp space on its own storage device, especially if your application does a lot of disk sorts.

Thanks,_Dennis.
Now_the_default_temp_tbsp_got_convert_to_LMT.
I_find_out_it_was_created_1M_uniform_by_default.
Do_you_think_it_is_ok_to_keep_the_default?
Also_which_way_is_better?
Four_10GB_tempfiles_or_one_40GB_tempfile?
TIA. Roger
