Just a quick note about LMT (as opposed to the DMZ that Mladen
mentioned): Johannes from Miracle once created a table with 60,000
extents and it was dropped in about 6 or 7 seconds. Then he did three
tables, each with 60,000 extents and with the extents being tangled
(Table 1 Extent 1, Table 2 Extent 1, Table 3 Extent 1, Table 1 Extent
2...). The drop of those three tables took about 20 seconds.
LMT scales.
As Cary would say: "DMT also scales, just not the way you want it to."
