I have done several of them.. Oracle's recommendation to me was to skip the upgrade to 9.0.1 in favor of going directly to 9.2. I had an issue applying the patch to 9.2 against 9.0.1 and they referred me to this doc:

(They made the comment that they had reports of problems with migrating to 9.2 from 9.0, that's why they recommended going directly to 9.2)
