Being a DBA is becoming more and more political function. Technical skills are OK, but the character traits of mother Theresa is what I have a problem with. This is what I call the DBA paradox: It's unacceptable to tell an idiot that he's an idiot, because idiots are our most valuable co-workers.
To cope, I borrowed few tricks from Edmund lord Blackadder, Alan B'Stard, Douglas Adams and Scott Adams (no relation).
