Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: 9.2.0.5 database server patch
Sean
I am reviewing it right now (not installed yet). My manager's philosophy is to apply the new patches quickly. 9.2.0.5 has the advantage that it will probably be the terminal 9i release. I would make sure you test it thoroughly.
I'm going through the list of fixed bugs to find any that are security fixes. I don't see any. Is anybody else aware of any security fixes in 9.2.0.5?

Subject: 9.2.0.5 database server patch
We are currently using Oracle 9.2.0.4 on Windows 2000 and are considering applying patch set 9.2.0.5 but would like to verify its stability first.
Has anybody applied the Oracle 9.2.0.5 database server patch set? Any
feedback or issues with this patch set?
Normally I would wait a bit longer after the patch set release date
(01-April in this case) but project timelines are pushing earlier
consideration.
In brief, would you recommend applying the patch set now or waiting until a later date?
