You are saying the avg row size is one byte? (sorry seems weird)
You don't need to partition a table to use PDML!

yes and 95% of the data we don't need. Not allowed to get rid of it, = because its too close to our release date, wasn't allowed to work on the = ETL process until the last minute, so I'm in a bind. :(. We could shrink = many of these tables down by about 90% if we dumped the unneeded data. = There are 208 columns in one and we need like 8 of them.=20
