They said ages ago it wasn't to be shipped - pretty sure it is
unsupported anyway (horrible bit of software anyway)

I don't think so.
SqlPlusw (windows) is still part of Oracle10 install on windows
platform.

Perhaps you mean sqlplusw (windows) which is de-supported in 10g

which paper are you referring to?
AFAIK there have never been plans to desupport SQL*Plus ...

Several months ago, I saw ORACLE paper said SQLPLUS will NOT support on 10g. Last week, I installed ORACLE 10g client and found SQLPLUS still there.
Does ORACLE change mind?
