as has been covered many times here an in c.d.o.s the boot option "/3GB" will enable w2k advanced server to allocate 3*10E9 bytes to a single process, meaning that you can run 2.7 GB memory under a single oracle.exe process. I haven't needed to use more than 2.2 GB and don't just make the buffer cache as large as possible because I can.
you might also need to enable "/PAE" if you have more than 4 GB of physical memory.
