Christopher,
I've used Partition Magic to partition a number of machines over the years and its been great for me. When it comes to dual boot control I've used Boot Magic, comes with Partition Magic, on a dual boot XP / Win 98 machine. But when it comes to Windows and Linux I've not managed to get BM to work but have have used the Linux boot manager GRUB and that has worked great.
