You must use ps -efl |grep lsnr or whatwver instead of just ps -ef |grep
lsnr. This will not show you lsnr is up.

Subject: Issues Migrating Oracle from Solaris to RH Linux?
Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2004 16:11:46 -0500
We are planning to migrate all of our DB servers from Sun Solaris 8 to RH Linux. We're running Oracle 9.2.0.2.0, 9.0.1.3.0, and 8.1.7.0. Has anyone encountered any Oracle bugs on RH that didn't exist in Solaris after such a migration? I am aware of the fact that we'll have to install a kshell package for RH to run our Solaris kshell scripts. And I followed the threads about creating new DBs on RH, then running exp/import. Anything else?
Thank you,
David B. Wagoner
