I don't think so. The book formally presents a methodology that Dan began=20 pioneering as long ago as 1995 (it was called Tuning Oracle SQL and was an= =20
Oracle confidential paper). I'm about halfway through the book, and so far= =20
it's very good. I believe the methodology does for SQL tuning what extended= =20
SQL trace data does for response time optimization.
