Yes please Mogens I would like to get a copy of Martins paper to pete_at_petefinnigan.com , thanks.
Marks paper sounds very interesting, Dan is certainly using row counts as part of his process to deduce the most selective filter and he also previously worked at Oracle tuning apps queries so there is a chance he is doing a similar technique to Martin. he says in the preface that he developed his process whilst at Oracle at the behest of his then manager Roy Camblin, CIO of Oracle.
