There's many out there that _love_ notepad + ftp - nothing wrong with it. At a previous job, I remember that it seemed like new DBAs were always shocked (and a little horrified) when they learned we didn't allow ftp or (heaven forbid) telnet to the database servers. What was really troubling was the ones that wanted to use rsh and .rhosts files "to save time".
