As far as I know you cannot. Oracle has connection manager product (CMAN), where you could set such rules: source/target IP, etc. We are using it and it works pretty fine: in 8.0 has a bug if you try to put too many rules - as I recall somewhere around 100.

Dear All,

Can somebody help me on this question ?
I have a db server with ip address, say ip1 and an application server with ip address say, ip2 ?
Can I say in my Oracle db server that I will accept only the connections from ip2 ? ( some sort firewall rule)

Thanks and regards,
Pradeep
