There is a new 9i feature that may be helpful. Use this link (you'll have
to patch it back together, and then search for "address"

This describes a new Oracle9i feature called application context, part of

Dear All,
Can somebody help me on this question ?
I have a db server with ip address, say ip1 and an application server
with ip address say, ip2 ?
Can I say in my Oracle db server that I will accept only the
connections from ip2 ? ( some sort firewall rule)
Thanks and regards,
Pradeep
