Clearly this speaker hasn't read the IOUG guidelines to new speakers, viz:

<<quote>>

How many slides should my presentation include?

The generally accepted guideline is 1½ to 2 minutes per slide.     So, a typical presentation will be approximately 20 - 25 slides.     Don't forget to allow time at the end for a question and answer period.

<<end quote>>

I've tried really hard to meet the standard:

CBO - 30 slides (inc. top and tail) for one hour.

(with a few spare in case we go into extra time)

Metrics - 33 slides (inc. top and tail) for one hour.
