Yes, 2 dbs across a dblink is what I'm chasing here.
dblinks are persistent? I thought they were the same as any client and the characteristics where established for each sql making use of it. That is why I was thinking this db restart was frivolous. Is that not the case, are dblinks some kind of tunneled connection?
