If you have the available capacity to backup to disk great. But I would
also backup to tape for DR reasons.
How do you propose to get your disk copies to your DR site? What if the
backup devices become corrupt?

I'm currently involved in a discussion about the virtues of backups to disk AND to tape of production databases. I'm for the idea, and there are others who are only wanting to backup to disk, and want to depend on our DR server for any other recovery requirement. I'm looking for your thoughts on this topic. Anyone want to contribute some good reasons to g ahead and backup to tape anyway?
