Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> restrict access to certain columns only
Hi!
What would be the best way to restrict users' access to certain columns of a table?
e.g. User1 owns a table and want to grant user2 the right to update only certain columns in that table. What would be the best way to implement this?
Using a view and granting user2 update rights on the view?
This is 9.2 on Solaris.
Thanks,
Helmut
