Govind.Arumugam,

I also hit two bugs running 9i rac on linux 9.2.0.2.
The first bug is snapshot refresh cannot go on if the data volume is large , you have to drop and recreate the snapshot.

>>>19:08:01 SQL> 19:08:01 SQL> 19:08:01 SQL> BEGIN dbms_snapshot.refresh('snp_articlescatalog'); END;
>>>
>>>*
>>>ERROR at line 1:
>>>ORA-12008: error in materialized view refresh path
>>>ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column
>>>ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 794
>>>ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 851
>>>ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 832
>>>ORA-06512: at line 1

The second bug is with the oracle cluster manager. If the first node reboot, you have to reboot the whole cluster ,or you cannot mount the first instance any longer.

>>>Reconfiguration complete
>>> Post SMON to start 1st pass IR
>>>Tue Jan 28 06:24:46 2003
>>>This instance was first to mount
>>>LCK0 started with pid=14
>>>Tue Jan 28 06:24:52 2003
>>>Errors in file /home/oracle/admin/rac/udump/rac1_ora_1585.trc:
>>>ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kccsbck_first], [2], [2066586566], [], [], [], [], []
>>>Tue Jan 28 06:24:53 2003
>>>ORA-600 signalled during: ALTER DATABASE MOUNT...
>>>Shutting down instance: further logons disabled
>>>Shutting down instance (normal)
>>>License high water mark = 1
