Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Error extensions in the alrtXXX.log
Hello List,
Pls help, I am busy playing with a Perl script which I want to read through the error log file each day and mail me when an error has occurred. I have already created the part that will be backing up the alrtXXX.log to another file. So that it starts afresh each morning. OK here are the obvious ones I personally can remember, please let me know of others that I can scan for.

Jared would probably have a far better script. Anyway how else dose one
learn? without the proverbial "Roll up the sleeves and climb in under the
hood" right? Hey, Jared I still intend to buy your book this year, perhaps
in the next few months when I hopefully will get something back from the
Taxman.
