Dick - One resource you may want to review is Don Burleson's "Oracle
High-Performance Tuning with STATSPACK". Throughout the book he develops a
philosophy of how you can use regular STATSPACK snapshots and a repository
for a comprehensive proactive tuning/capacity planning facility. He may have
a few ideas you haven't considered that might make a difference in how you
build your repository.
On the other hand, you may want to think really carefully about what you hope to achieve before you start shipping STATSPACK records around your network. I could see where it could be really easy to get excited about the "big picture" and spend all your resources building a great edifice, only to find it doesn't give the benefits you hoped for.

We'd like to establish a centralized stats pack repository, but OTS is telling us that it's NOT doable for a couple of reasons. As you can guess I don't believe them and am looking around to see if anyone else has done this before I break out the power tools and start building something on my own.
