I think this kind of diagnosing may waste your time. You should follow up
the consequence ---> cause path in problem solving, not possible_causes --->
consequence.
I mean you should identify if you are really encountering an IO problem(consequence). Otherwise, starting from possible causes(file distribution, sga length, etc.), then confirming their consequences(IO problem, if there is) may waste your time.
maybe you are doing that, and I'm missing something..
