This $2000 fee will disappear (or go down) very soon. Nobody in their right
mind is going to pay for something that returns nothing in value.
Right now, the OCP tag on your resume is used as a "tie breaker" - which means the persons mind is made up before they start looking for OCP.
This is just another revenue-raiser for Oracle Education - nothing more.

By way of comparison, the bar exam for becoming a lawyer in California is a three day exam, two days of which are essay tests, which are expensive to grade because they must be read and graded by people who are themselves attorneys. Cost for this three day exam: $411.00
