Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: ORACLE 9i doesn't start on Linux
try this :
svrmgrl > connect internal;
svrmgrl > startup;
Then you should be able to see the error message and post that message here

Hi,
I've installed Oracle 9i on Suse Linux 7.1.
The lsnrctl starts nicely, however when I type "dbstart" then
it does absolutelly nothing.
No error message, but the database won't start.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance
Zsolt Csillag,
Hungary
